Payment platform Square has launched support for Tap to Pay on iPhone for users in the US, permitting businesses to winnow contactless payments using an iPhone without any spare hardware using the Square Point of Sale iOS app.
Apple spoken its new “Tap to Pay on iPhone” full-length in February. The full-length theoretically turns the iPhone into a payment terminal, with businesses worldly-wise to winnow Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets through a simple tap of their iPhone.
Available now to all Square merchants with a uniform iPhone, businesses can winnow contactless payments by opening the Square POS app, ringing up the sale, and presenting their iPhone to the buyer. The proprietrix completes the payment by tapping a contactless payment method such as Apple Pay, flipside digital wallet, or a contactless credit or debit card.
